About

ABOUT BEATRIX & ALBERT

We met each other in Africa in 2004, while hiking up Mount Kenya and Mount Kilimanjaro. After a few years of flying back and forth between Norway - where Beatrix lived - and the Netherlands - where Albert lived, we decided in 2007 to build a joint life in Norway. Never for a second have we regretted this decision.

LIVING IN NORWAY

We feel very priviliged with our life in Norway. Great friends, a relaxing home, beautiful landscapes everywhere around us, and fulfilling jobs.

Our favorite passtime is enjoying the great outdoors, on foot, cycle, kayak or skis. The trails start right next to our front door, so we can literally ski-in and ski-out. Winters can be long in this part of the world, so it's good that we love snow so much.

Our favorite indoor activities are going to concerts of the Trondheim Symphonic Orchestra and going out for dinner. And fair is fair: we both love spending a lot of time at work - which for Beatrix is at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, where she is professor in Human Movement Science. Albert is working as "HR & Innovation director" at Stjørdal Municipality.

We also enjoy travelling and meeting different cultures, and we love having visitors.
